1. Who we are
These terms govern your use of the DocGraph desktop app, the DocGraph plugin store, and the website docgraph.app (together, "DocGraph"). DocGraph is provided by DocGraph. By installing or using DocGraph you agree to these terms.
2. Licence
DocGraph is free to use, for personal and commercial purposes. Your right to use the app is set out in the DocGraph licence shipped with the app. In short, you may install and use official DocGraph releases. You may not copy, redistribute, sell, or reverse-engineer the app, except where the law allows it or the licence says so. The plugin SDK, example plugins and the plugin registry index are open source under the MIT licence.
DocGraph includes open-source components, each under its own licence. They are listed in the third-party notices shipped with the app. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under those licences.
DocGraph™, the DocGraph name and the DocGraph logo are trademarks of DocGraph. The licence does not grant any right to use them, except to refer to DocGraph accurately.
3. Your content
Your notes, files and other content remain yours. DocGraph stores them on your device. We do not receive them, claim no rights in them, and cannot recover them for you. Keep your own backups.
4. Price and future offers
DocGraph is provided free of charge. We may in future offer additional features or services under separate terms. Features you received free of charge under these terms stay free of charge.
5. AI models and third-party services
DocGraph can connect to services you choose, such as Ollama, a cloud AI provider, a search backend, a git host, or a command-line AI agent. Your use of each service is governed by that provider's own terms and privacy policy, and you are responsible for any account, API key or fees involved.
AI models are downloaded from their publishers, for example via Hugging Face or Ollama, under the publisher's own licence. Some licences restrict commercial use or set acceptable-use rules. Check the model's licence before using it, in particular for commercial work. We do not grant any rights in third-party models.
AI output can be wrong, incomplete or outdated. Check it before relying on it, especially for legal, medical, financial or safety-related decisions.
6. Plugins
Plugins are not yet available in DocGraph and are coming in a later release. This section applies once they are.
Plugins in the DocGraph plugin store are written and published by third parties. Each plugin is its author's software, provided under the author's licence and terms, and the author is responsible for it, including for any data it processes.
We review registry submissions before listing them, and installed files are checked against the listed version. A review is not a guarantee: an enabled plugin runs with the app's own access to your vault. Third-party plugins are therefore off by default, and you enable each one yourself.
We may decline, remove or delist any plugin from the store at any time, for example for security, legal or quality reasons. Delisting does not delete a plugin you have already installed.
7. Acceptable use
Do not use DocGraph to break the law, infringe others' rights, or attack, overload or gain unauthorised access to any system, including our website and plugin store.
8. Updates and availability
We may update, change or stop providing DocGraph or parts of it. Updates are optional and installed only when you choose. As the app runs on your device, versions you have installed keep working without our servers.
9. Liability
DocGraph is provided free of charge and "as is". We are liable without limitation for damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, where mandatory product liability law applies, and where we have fraudulently concealed a defect. Otherwise our liability is excluded, to the extent permitted by the applicable law.
Keep regular backups of your data. We are not liable for data loss that a reasonable backup would have prevented.
10. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms for future use, for example when DocGraph's features change. We will publish the new version here with a new effective date. If you do not agree, stop using DocGraph.
11. Law and disputes
If you are a consumer, nothing in these terms removes the protection of the mandatory consumer law of the country where you live.
We are neither obliged nor willing to take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
